Patch 1.0

The first major patch that will focus on improvements, balance updates, and bug fixes.

Improvements

  • Improved the tutorial
  • Greatly improved the AI
  • UI scaling to different resolutions
  • Added a map texture
  • Added Main Menu music
  • Added sword swing and hit SFX
  • Added lightning SFX
  • Added in-game round counter as well as countdown between rounds
  • Greatly improved hit-detection to make combat feel more better as the swords actually have impact now rather than passing through
  • Added a second bonus for each element (at the 6th stack)
  • Greatly improved balance by splitting up offense and defense elements into alternating rounds. That way you cannot only pick defense and visa versa
  • Changed AI movement from NavMesh to root motion animations. Made it feel more real and less jittery
  • Added cooldowns for burn, regen, and dodge above Healthbar
  • Reworked shield behind the scenes to be more efficient

    • Stat

      • Old: (3 stacks) Start round with 20% Max Health shield

      • (6 stacks) Regen buff lasts 5 seconds instead of 3 
  • Earth
    • Stat
      •  Old: 15 Armor
      • New: 10 Armor
    • Effect
      • Old: (3 stacks) Double armor for the rest of the round when below 50% Health
      • New: Unchanged

      • (6 stacks) Burn on you lasts 3 seconds instead of 5 
  • Fire
    • Stat
      •  Old: 5 Damage
      • New: 2 Damage
    • Effect
      • Old: (3 stacks) Attacks burn enemy for 15% damage over 3sec (1 tick every 0.75sec)
      • New: (3 stacks) Attacks burn enemy for 10% damage over 5 seconds (1 tick every second)  (15 second cooldown)

      • (6 stacks) Burn damage increased to 15% and the ticks can critically strike
  • Death
    • Stat
      •  Old: 7% Life Steal

      • Old: (3 stacks) Attacks bleed enemy for 3 seconds reducing healing by 40% 
      • New: (3 stacks) Increase critical damage from 150% to 165%

      • (6 stacks) Burn ticks and lightning strikes ignore armor
  • Lightning
    • Stat
      •  Old: 15% Critical Chance
      • New: 10% Critical Chance

      • Old: (3 stacks) Critical hits cause lightning to strike dealing 25% damage

  • Arcane
    • Stat
      •  Old: 10% Critical damage
      • New: 0.15 second Dodge cooldown reduction
    • Effect
      • Old: (3 stacks) Critical hits ignore 25% of armor
      • New: (3 stacks) Successfully dodging an attack grants Regen, healing 2 HP every second for 3 seconds (20 second cooldown)

      • (6 stacks) Gain a second dodge, however, increase the cooldown by 3 seconds 
  • Dodge Cooldown
    • Old: 2 seconds
    • New: 3.5 seconds
  • Armor Scaling
    • Old: 60 / (60 + baseArmor)
    • New: 100 / (100 + baseArmor)

Bug Fixes

  • You are no longer able to spawn kill the poor AI
  • Similarly, you now cannot move/attack while in-between rounds
  • Fixed some buggy animations and hitboxes that would cause the AI to one shot you with one attack (or visa versa)
  • Fixed some Tooltip bugs
  • Fixed bug where sword collider didn't deactivate and you could damage enemy while rolling through them
